Tired but It Worth It!

Posted in Personal, Tourist Spots tagged at 9:03 pm by gurlash

After a month and a half of the captivating Capiz experiments plus several debates regarding how it will be done, the fruit is almost ready to be harvested on Sunday. My main entry ranked first and I hope this will be the final position for this week. As the theory that I have learned that this will definitely stay on top until Sunday but on Monday that will be another story.

By the way, here is the entry that I am talking about. I took a snapshot of it and edited it using GIMP (thanks to sir Jayz I have learned how to use it properly, the GIMP :) )

Captivating Capiz Entry Final Look

Captivating Capiz Entry Final Look

This will be my final post for this topic and I guess I will go back to my normal life post by next week or maybe I will have a final report about this event by Sunday, if the victory is already sure. For now, I will keep on hoping that this entry to possess a very powerful staying power that can not be claimed and steal by other participants. Somehow, I have a feeling that they can not steal it but of course Mr. G is always unpredictable. Bye for now! :)

Surprise Turn of Events

Posted in Personal tagged at 7:27 am by gurlash

Captivating Capiz update. This will be the last update that I will make about this topic because this is the last week that will be the final lap of the race for the best captivating Capiz informer. I was surprise this morning that my entry to the said competition shows a new turn, it is ranking on first right now and my theory is that if it can hold up to Friday, this will be its final position. But of course 6 days is still enough for everyone to do something and remove me on top one. Still I am hoping that I will win the crown.

In case I could win then I will spend it buying new Capiz christmas lanterns to be decorated at home. I guess the winnings is enough to buy that. Then I will make a new website but that will be not necessary for me because I am an occasional blogger and the web is not my crop. However, I will consider it if in case that I will win the website package included in the contest. My problem is what will be the topic that I will put on the site. I am already satisfied with the free blog hosting that I am in right now. That will be another work for me and I don’t like more hassles. I will think of it later.

When Dreams…

Posted in Personal tagged at 5:23 am by gurlash

When you dream you wake-up in the morning. But what if you dream something so badly and it is almost in your hands and things just collapse on the last days that you really want it to happen, how does it feel then? Maybe you will got devastated or frustrated or even give up from dreaming at all. Life is like that, you can’t do anything about failures so do not live on failures. Dreams sometimes don’t come true. Just keep on dreaming for something and someday it will come true in the most appropriate time.

I want to win a competition but I think I can’t get through to it because of the different obstacles on my way. I am referring to the competition of the best information to provide about the captivating Capiz. I gather, research and keep-up with the latest news still I have the feeling that I will not win from this. In in case I will not then as always everybody says “better luck next time for me…” However, if there’s no next time life should move on! The nice part of this competition is I learned a lot from the captivating Capiz cultures and life in a province which I really dream of when I was a child.

What’s Up With Captivating Capiz?

Posted in Tourist Spots tagged , at 4:52 am by gurlash

It’s been a couple days now since my last post about the captivating Capiz. I did not post anything about the place because I did hear anything unusual or something to report on. What I found out now is when I visited the website of bleuken, a blogger from the captivating Capiz and try to look on his photo gallery. I found some interesting pictures of the Olotayan Island. Wow, its amazing and looks nice. See example below:

Olotayan Island in captivating Capiz

As you can see on the image, that island in Capiz is like a little Boracay Island. As of I have heard about this place is that, many of locals and foreigners are having their diving sessions here. Well, its quite expensive of course, you need some SCUBA diving gear which I think you need to have it yourself. I don’t know if the Island tours here have a SCUBA rentals.

I want to ride this Jet Ski, I want to experience it even once or twice or as many as my pocket can afford. As the day goes by I discover a lot of things about Capiz that gave me a lot of reason to visit the province.

Love Trace Adkin’s Song

Posted in Personal tagged at 8:30 pm by gurlash

Have you heard this song of Trace Adkins, You’re gonna miss this? I really love this song. I first heard it when I am riding in a jeep. At first I thought this is just another love song or  a country song. But when I heard and look for its lyrics, I begun to understand the deep meaning of this song. I really like the lyrics of the song. It says how you will miss different things of the past. It advices not to make rush decisions and cherish the current moment of your life. It is because life’s happenings comes once, instantly and you can’t go back to that life that pass. It is what the father said to his daughter in the song. I started to miss my dad because of this song. I really miss those days when we were together and his words of wisdom for me. Ah, It makes me cry!

Here’s the excerpt of the lyrics of the song that I really love:

You’re gonna miss this
You’re gonna want this back
You’re gonna wish these days
Hadn’t gone by so fast

These are some good times
So take a good look around
You may not know it now
But you’re gonna miss this

How does it Feel?

Posted in In My Honest Opinion tagged at 8:26 pm by gurlash

What does it feel if you are the family of the Hultman and Chapman, if you heard on the news that the one who brutally killed your child just received a presidential clemency? Wound cause by events in life really heals in due time but when you received justice it seems that the healing process is fast. But after knowing that the perpetrator of the crime that causes your pain were released after it was granted “favor” from the government, what does the parents of this poor child feel? I guess it is undescribable pain! I don’t understand really how law in the Philippines is going? I feel sorry for the family of the victims. I hope it does not happen to the family of the government officials in the future so that they will not feel the same pain the victims are feeling right now.

What happen to our justice? It really shows that the justice is for the rich and powerful people only. I don’t know if the killer is a poor guy and a nobody, if the president will give the same treatment. Maybe not. The sad part on this event is nobody can do anything about this, the Senate, the Congress the family of the victim, just a hopeless situation! I can’t distinguised justice and injustice right now, it seems that they have the same meaning today and it is only in the Philippines!

Captivating Capiz – Where When and Why

Posted in Capiz Answers tagged at 7:18 pm by gurlash

Where is captivating Capiz? It is geographically found on Western Visayas Region of the Philippines. It is located on a small island formed by the Panay and Banica rivers. The soil is poor in the northern part of the island and is most productive only in the southern part. Capiz is bounded by the Mindoro sea, the Panay, Loctugan and Ivisan rivers.

Why Capiz? It is believed that the name of the province was taken from the words “Kapid” and “Pios” which are mollusk that is very abundant on the place. Capiz shells are raw materials used in making captivating windows, lanterns, vases and other decorations.

When in the history of the captivating Capiz and Aklan were separated?  In 1956, under the law R.A. 1414 signed by President Magsaysay.

Why it is called as captivating Capiz? The phrase actually refers to the battle cry of the provincial government for its objective to make the province the central eco-tourism hub of the Visayas.

My Anger and My Downfall

Posted in Personal tagged at 11:30 am by gurlash

This past few days I was really affected by the unfair comment of a certain person who is not doing but kick me out on the competition by saying that I am a fake. I don’t want to make him/her to feel successful with his/her objective but honestly I am affected and with this anger that I am feeling right now, I stop from doing things to improve my position on the captivating Capiz saga. It is because my mind are full of uncertainties and traumatic experience with this simple competition. I am lost in space and I started to become invisible and i can’t believe my eyes that this is happening to me.

Alright I admit it you win it! Your captivating Capiz is yours I will not ask for it anymore. As you wish but I will not stop from telling the world how I like to be in the province of Capiz. You can’t stop me!

How do you think I handle this kind of anger? Simple, I eat and eat a lot of junk foods then vomit them all. That’s it! :)

Another First Time

Posted in Visayas tagged at 7:34 pm by gurlash

I never thought that I will be threated with this kind of unfair remarks from other contestants of a certain competition. Do I deserve this? Maybe they thought that I am winning and since they can’t do anything about it or maybe this is a natural reaction of a loser who wants to win desperately but don’t want to do anything. Why are you trying to discourage me from grabbing what I should deserve?

Honestly I have traced the person who did the comment, of course using WordPress trace and I know where he or she came from. She or he came from Roxas captivating Capiz and with the same place where Aiza, one of the contestant who also commented. Aiza did posted a comment but a good comment unlike with the one with unethical pathetic loser comment, (read my previous post to read the loser’s comment) who leave his/her comment at 10am. I compared Aiza and the loser’s address and they matched. I don’t know what comes to his/her mind why did he / she leave the said comment. Maybe he / she thought that I will not publish it!

Am I afraid to reveal my true identity? Why should I? Do I need to prove something? Did the rule of the competition in the captivating Capiz said that I should reveal myself to them in participating. Everyone is not giving their identities and participants should do what they should do. Not the losers strategy!

By the way here’s the IP Trace result I made, that’s why I concluded you’re connected with Aiza:
